Tell me what you think...and yes Ik someone could have joined his game but its a lets play...and that's not very "professional".

I don't even see anything but a dog around that time in the video

Herobrine is based off the skin of Steve, that could easily be someone playing as Steve or the Herobrine skin itself.

Later in the Let's Play the player sleep's, if that were to be another player it would've said "All players must be sleeping in order to skip to dawn."
EDIT: In the beginning of the LP he finds Netherack on fire randomly in a ravine and he wouldn't be able to get to the nether and get the netherack because to make a portal you need obsidian, you can only mine it with a diamond pickaxe, which he doesn't have any diamond at all.

it was herobrine arms was down and wasnt on fire and netherrack could be a bug

1) He could have had a portal made before, or someone else did.
2) Creative mode gives you netherack anyway
3) Whomever was in the game could have layed down when he did or could have left and he removed a part in the video which is common.
Example: A noise occurred and he walked away for a second.
