i have a M17X and it runs every smooth never tried bf3 as im a cod fan but yeah its a great peice or machinery yours is alot more powerful my laptop specs
Quad core Intel Q9000 processor @ 2.0GHz (Overclockable, although I haven't.)
2 x Nvida M260GTX graphics cards in SLi
4GB of 667MHz RAM
1TB HDD (2 x 500GB HDDs in striped RAID)
Bluetooth/Wifi/all the usual bits.
Windows 7 Home Premium

I think your the one that doesnt know, he doesnt need to upgrade his proccessor, intel i7 is reccommended as the best gaming processor and also you cant upgrade laptops only some parts but not all -_-

It is very good for laptop of its generation (590/6990 gen.) Upgrading that is a waste of time and money as it is already very good. Also, the processor you posted is actually 3.5 Ghz as it supports TurboBoost. Completely disregard people like Dualshock, he is clueless. I am an owner of an alienware with very similar specs to yours and speaking from experience that laptop is very solid.
