So i recently started uing fraps and im getting around 90 fps and lagging On MW2. I normally get around 250 fps so i am not sure why it is lagging. V sync is turned off.

My specs are:
RAM-16GB
GFX CARD- Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti
Processor-Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz

Any more Info needed let me know :/

When you start to record or anything it will make your computer lag when your on a game or you're just using the wrong settings.

I think I have the right settings on and when I just got the computer approximately 2 months ago it didn't lag when I recorded. :/

Recording lags because your computer is writing data to itself. How fast is does this is called your write speed. The higher, the less FPS loss.

Another thing, Fraps will force you to play your game at the FPS you set for it to record at when you record. Even if you can get like 200 FPS and you record with Fraps, when it is set at 30, it will lock your FPS at 30.

Dxtory allows you to record at 30 but play at 60, but it records lag that doesn't even happen. Don't use it.

problay using a more adv. game for your card. and also having multiple programs open.try to get like razor game booster.

:/ It's only on MW2 Which it lags
