i know this isnt my post but this is a very serious post please stop this! i dont like this hatred between our two countries!!! it shouldn't be happening none is better than the other person if they argue about it! god my cousin lost his leg in this war and not to mention hes american but he met someone from the uk and they became best friends the guy from the uk stayed by my cousins side when his leg was being amputated... im done

Oh yes, of course Americans are thought of as ALL fat by British and other countries but that's because of what they say on TV, the Brits are told that they have disgusting teeth a lot, which actually, a lot of Americans have worse teeth than Brits(this is facts, I'm not trying to pick on the US, sorry). The thing is the way SIDEARM said it sounded like he meant that all Brits are immature when it's just the 11 year old's, it's also generally the same 11 year old's who call the Americans fat.. and to be honest, percentage wise, the UK have more cases of obese men(around the ages of 25-40) than in America.(It used to be this, might have changed though). So, I did not mean in any way that Americans pick on the Brits because really, both countries pick on each other yet are allies at war so will always back each other up. It's useless 'banter' if you ask me but sorry, I've gotten very far of subject here. I am just trying to back up my country with facts and prove that we are not all stupid or immature or ignorant.

This is what I mean.. I'm agreeing with you, US and UK should not argue like this, we're allies and will most likely always have each other's backs.

i just hate this kind of stuff like i think my cousins friend from the uk is coming here in like 2 weeks! but like i understand that not everyone gets along but cant they take it somewhere else?

Okay, this has gone on long enough. Are you people that disrespectful, that this mans brother has volunteered his life, and his time to help serve his country, and you decide to go on with a keyboard war about "Whose Army is better". You know what, that argument will never be won. Going on with "Im better" "NO Im better" arguments isn't based on facts, its based solely on patriotism. Im an American, and I am not afraid to admit that this country in its current state is horrid. Marijuana is illegal and is still classified as a Schedule 1 "Drug", Big Pharma and corporations run the government, not the people, and the congressional corruption and idiocy is up the wa-zoo. I love my country, I love what it stands for, but its current standing is a Grade A example of stupidity and corruption. As someone else stated, this isn't WWI. Thats true, it isnt. Back then the UK's military was godlike. Your ability to conquer anyone was profound, but this is 2012, and were allies. Why are we arguing about militaristic strength. You UK'ers have been known to be stuck up, but come on. The fact that you stated that the UK is the only country that has a nuclear weapon clearly indicates your lack of intelligence in the topic of militarism, and you really shouldnt continue on with a conversation you obviously know nothing about. You have absolutely no clue "who's military controls who." Your just some keyboard warrior who has nothing intelligent to say, so your last line of defense is some idiotic statement. If anything, we would be the puppets of China, not the UK. Get off your high horse. This isn't the 1800s. You dont rule the world with an iron fist.

Now, OT: God bless your brother. Many members of my family are in the military. All my grandfathers were marines, my uncle a paratrooper, other uncle a radio technician, and other other uncle was a pit gunner for the airplanes that dropped cargo and troops down to the battlefield. I myself, am not pursuing a military career, but I am training to be a Police Officer, maybe along the lines of ESU. I know its probably very sad at home. But just know that your brother is braver than I, and many others. And what he is sacrificing will not go down in vain.
