I was wondering how I should go in terms of monitors. Three cheap 1080p monitors or one 27 inch 1440p (korean) monitor? Also, how will my 7950 perform with both of these?

I personally prefer connecting my pc to my hdtv. In regard to the monitors, I've never heard of 1440p. I would stick with the 1080p one.

the 7950 is not the greatest of cards and at high settings you might get performance issues (FPS drops) at high resolutions.
id say go with a 1080p monitor and play at 1920x1080

The only good thing they have going for them is that resolution. They have a lot of disadvantages that you have to take into consideration.
- A- panels.
- Dead pixels is common.
- Extremely glossy - your room needs to be almost pitch black - no, that is not an over exaggeration.
- Crap stand.
- From Korea meaning bad RMA system.
- Anything under 10 pixels is considered perfect pixel.
You get what you're paying for. It's as simple as that. That's why Dell charges $1,000 and the Catleap's are $300.
Sure the resolution is superb at 2560 x 1440, but is it worth all that hassle? I wouldn't think so.
Personally, I'd grab 1920x1200 Dell Ultrasharp if you're in the market for a new monitor.
Your 7950 with 3GB's of vRAM will push a 2560 x 1440 resolution easily if you're wondering. If anything, you can always turn down the in game resolution if that is a factor.
