Straight-Edge wroteOMA wrote Plus, they did not account for leap years.
Leap years have nothing to do with the calendar. The Mayan Calendar was made with totally different calculations. It's still accurate.
It's a common misconception that the Calender is calculated off the Gregorian Calender. When it is not.
Rather more surprising is that people think a civilization from BC Would end up putting 2012 AD on their calender.

No need to apologize
Like you said to PseudoScience, you can't check every theory to see if it's been debunked.

Very good post, Theology.
Pleased to see that after my absence from TTG, logic has remained.
Even with your knowledge and reputation for posting great topics, you are still humble when you cannot put something better.
That is what I like about you.
Once again, great post.

You're far too kind.
What's humbling is being able to post something like this and put peoples minds at ease.
By the rate these topics are being released now, it would seem that some people haven't got the memo though.
Nothing will happen in December that will impact Earth directly. Nothing.

(don't know if this was already replied)
if the mayan calender was right, the mayans did not have daylight savings time. therefore if it was real we would have been "one with the earth" months ago

Brilliant topic, people need this now more than ever considering we're only 20 days away.
Now, where's my grave-digging warning? =)

Wow, thanks a lot man.
Don't topics like this that are brought back get closed anyway though?
Thanks again though, I appreciate it.
I agree that this will probably come in handy over the next 20 days. If It stays on the front page for that long, that is.
