XBox360 has a native resolution of 1280x720. Games do too. Everything over that is upscaled by the console. A PC on the other hand can render games at native 1080p resolution without the need for upscaling.
Hey yeah, 720p is the standard resolution for Xbox 360 games, and Bastion for the 360 runs in that resolution.
To see an image comparison of 720p versus 1080p for Bastion, have a look at these screens:

You do realize the HD PVR 2 is cheaper right? So even if 720p and 1080p are the same, it doesn't really matter. Can you name one reason #1 is better? I can't. The gaming edition has all cables included, record button on the device, >HDMI<, smaller, and hell I even think it looks better.

What difference does it make what it looks like, and I can't find a cheaper one.

Please note that the prices that are slashed are what is retail from Hauppauge. This picture is from Amazon, but Hauppauge notes #1 being $40 more expensive than #2. Now, please. Tell me 1 reason why #1 is better?

#1- If they're the same then how does that make original PVR better?
#2- Notice the retail prices.
Anyways you've proved my point of the new PVR being superior. Cya
