So instead of using adhesive could I just get super glue and barely put it around the the edges with a toothpick because I'm tried of dealing with the adhesive strips. Would using super glue effect anything on the iPod?

i think superglue will mess with touch screen so u cant use it.. idk google it lol

I wouldn't even risk it because if you mess up there is no fixing it then.
