I want to burn mw3 to a disc, I have it on jtag but my disc is scratched and I want to install it on my retail so do not suggest usb.
However when I try to open it in imgburn and burn to my 8.5GB Dual layer disc I get an error! I have burnt all the cod series and a few other games to discs and installed to my retail as my shop bought disc was scratched, though this is the first time encountering this, any help?

you need an iHas B drive. If you dont want to buy one (costs around 30 bucks) you can just truncate the disc (there is an option to do it on imgburn). The iHAS B drive is the only drive that can burn XGD3 games such as MW3
