Hey I let my little brother play Skyrim and it wasn't working and I looked at it and it had a scratch that goes around the whole disk in a circle. Thanks!

Either go to a local game store and get them to fix it for maybe $5 at the most or get a friends copy and download it to the hard drive and see if it would work. If you see a method online about a Tooth paste trick don't do it. It doesn't help, it may actually make it worse. You could try like Windex and let that stay on the disc for awhile then clean it off and try.

Every once in a while my Black Ops will mess up and I use toothpaste.
I'd try using toothpaste on the disk, washing it off with warm water, then drying it with something soft.

It's laser burned.
The game is fried. You can't do a simple 'home workaround fix'
your best bet would be to go to gamestop or a local CD shop and see if they can add another coat to it.

Do not put toothpaste on the disc!
You are going to mess the disc up even more.
You shouldn't listen to the people above who mention that.
But that disc is basically done if it has a ring-scratch.
