Every one has seen this gun, right?

Well everyone has been talking about it and assuming it is used to control the zombies brains, which is believable considering it is linked to the whole zombies story with Dr Richtofen and all that jazz. But In the Picture above it looks like it is a small Jet engine which could mean it is linked to the thunder gun. It could be an upgrade for the Thunder gun or and Thunder gun with some attachments crafted on the crafting table?

If you look at it , it looks like the thunder gun up side down
