No gold the sight shouldn't be gold as well plus they wouldn't have gold in campaign

I'm the person who took this picture lol. Yes there is gold camo in campaign. You can choose from a variety or different camo's and guns in campaign.

If that's the case how do you unlock it? I've played through the campaign 2 and a half times now (currently doing the veteran run) and I'm yet to see any gold camo whatsoever.
