Seems to be an issue with your graphics card. Have you tried updating your drivers?

My graphics card is fine I assume seeing as I run borderlands 2 and Skyrim at max fine. My graphics card is updated to the lastest drivers. I have 8GB Ram and I've already reinstalled it 3 times. I'm telling you guys, nothing works.

I see you've got some Kevlar vest on. Is that a mod? You might have **** up installing mods, but that would fix with a reinstall. Is your game copy legit?

I don't know if this is the same error as you have but it sounds the same. There are some replies in there with possible solutions so it might be worth checking them out.

Since you claim that GTA IV works fine on your laptop and that your desktop messes up after you close GTA IV, it seems that this is a hardware problem. I'm not really a PC gaming guy so I can't help much but from my experience, it seems that it's your computer and not the game.

Try using Google. Google can be very helpful at times.

It is a legal copy purchased from best buy a couple years back. It doesn't matter whether I have mods or no mods, it stil stays the same. And I will look at those solutions to see if any work but for now I'm still stuck.
