No it is true. YOucan reach the max prestige it and earn the challenges again. If you dont prestige it you will have that same stuff when you prestige

Ummm, I dont have BO2 yet so my assumption may not be accurate.

However common sense would tell me that on weapon prestige the weapons level would reset. The reason I say this is because without more levels to achieve/stuff to unlock HOW WOULD PRESTIGING WORK? and WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT IN IT?

yes but if you prestige and your gun is at max level i dont think it resets when you prestige, but if ur to prestige ur gun and then prestige you'd have to start again? iunno ill wait till tmrw night to figure it out.

Ya im not 100% sure either wont have BO until Tuesday morning.

I'm hoping weapons don't reset prestige's if you prestige your actual level, if they do I wont be prestiging levels on BO2 and if it effects the matchmaking system like mw3 does I wont be prestiging levels for sure.

I like the weapon prestiging because it means you don't have to prestige to get the best camos I reset from 20th on mw3 and couldnt be happier with the results, noob lobbies come more often on mw3 with a non prestiged account.

well idont know about prestige in overall level but i know that wen you prestige your weapon you lose everything except camos i know since my mp7 is prestige 1 lvl 12

By clicking (Y) when your gun reaches max level (15) lol theres 2 prestiges for them
