whenever i try to go to matchmaking, it says the servers are down how do i fix this

Try resetting your router/modem and see if it works then.if not,try using a wired connection to see if that makes a difference.

Try resetting xbox and modem and stuff. Also check the website for halo 4 and make sure there not down or there is not a status out there.

Mine did the same thing I went to my friends house and recover my gamer tag over there. We I got back it worked. Try using a different live account if you have one.
