the bowie knife has been in every zombie map since the first black ops. at least as far as i know. i have all the maps for black ops except for one or something. in kino der toten (sp) the bowie knife is right by jug, in ascension they changed it to a sickel and i think that is also true for shino numa. there is always some sort of various knife upgrade you can get, and they do great for knifing and last resorts. i find they work best up to level 25ish and even 30 on ocassions depending how desperate times get. sorry for my terrible spelling and the map names. hope this helps.

as a side note i found that after you leave i think its the first or second time you ride the bus in TranZit that you pass through a tunnel with cars all blown up. if you jump off the bus and explore the area, you will find the m16, a three burst round gun, on the wall for i think the standard price of 1200 or 1500 (note the bus doesnt actually stoop there, you will be left behind but dont fear, fighting through the fog isnt hard, just knife the things that attack you when they jump on you and youll be fine even without jug)also when you ride the bus on the ceiling is a 3 round burst pistol for 1000. its very effective if you can stand to use it. i usually use it up to level 15 or so.
