Those experiencing online status issues with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the PlayStation 3 will be pleased to know that both Treyarch and Sony are looking into these problems together, in a bid to rectify them as soon as possible. The connectivity issues noted on the PS3 version regard repeat error messages for gamers trying to log-on to multiplayer, and players sat waiting for a game in a full lobby, as in some circumstances the wait can be indefinite.
These are two of the main problems that have been discussed by players on various forums, although it is nice to see that game design director, David Vonderhaar has taken to Twitter informing gamers that they are investigating this with Sony. Any status update is welcomed by players as it keeps them in the loop, but we are still waiting to find out when this will be sorted, while Now Gamer highlights his recent comments about the current situation.
As both parties are currently attempting to resolve the issues, they are testing backend matchmaking changes and this is expected to help, although they still have no timeframe of when a fix will be apparent. Only yesterday we touched upon the Black Ops 2 freezing problems and mentioned that a fix was incoming, as we thought we seen the last of the game freezing issues of old. The fact that Activision is aware of the situation is good news as they can relay this to those involved, and the Twitter updates are reassuring for fans who are wondering if these issues are being dealt with.....With plenty of gamers all trying to access the online content at similar times we can understand the strain the servers are under especially when a big new game arrives on the scene, but this has given us cause to wonder why this is only affecting PS3 gamers.
