Macbook air is lighter, comes stock with SSD, and has a higher resolution.

Only thing the MBP has is the ability to upgrade some components but for a lot people that's not a make or break deal.

People who buy apple products get them because they either; can't be bothered to upgrade components on a normal computer, have a lot of money and get them because they look and feel good, or are manipulated by their advertising, and think they're the best company out there, or that there are no other companies out there.

False. You can't upgrade most components on most notebooks out there, especially a high resolution panel.

....Or they're the best laptops out? Show me a laptop with a super high resolution IPS panel, a fantastic touchpad, great battery life, and no cheesy stickers / bloatware. Aesthetics and quality feel is a bonus.

Yes, advertising and iSheep to go hand in hand, but that does not take away how good the Air / rMBP series are. For example, a Mac Pro is simply no good since they're using outdated components and is a horrible bang for your buck.

I have no idea what the hell you're trying to demonstrate with the video, but it does not make sense to me.

FYI, I don't own any Apple products nor do I plan to unless I somehow stumble across 2K for the rMBP. I simply suggest / recommend whatever is the best buy at that moment in time, and Windows manufacturers are, well, not up to par unless you have low / no standards for quality in general.

You're comparing a custom built PC versus a Macbook which is a laptop. Obviously desktop components are going to be a lot stronger but you're not going to be able to shove a HAF 912 case and a 24'' monitor in your bag, are you?

People are blind and are way too quick to judge. If you really think the new line up of MBA's or rMBP's are quote on quote overpriced, find me a laptop that even comes close to touching the rMBP regardless of price - wait, you can't. Why? Because Apple is the only company who can do it right. PERIOD.

- 10/10 high resolution IPS display - there were backlighting issues on Asus Ultrabooks.
- Great touchpad - Trackpads on Asus Ultrabooks were trash and customers hated it.
- No bloatware - every single Windows manufacturer puts bloatware on their computers - yes, it can be removed, but it should not be on there in the first place.
- Aesthetically pleasing - no cheesy stickers advertising what's inside the computer is a huge bonus compared to every single Windows laptop.
- Comes stock with a higher capacity SSD and respectable battery life...but most Ultrabooks these days match this.

The only thing you can knock is the ability to upgrade the components, but what Ultrabooks have that ability? ...None!

Apple is the only company who knows what they're doing and knows what people want. Their pricing for their new line-up of laptops is extremely fair, but yet again, they're in a niche market.

High resolution panels on laptops for example - the technology has been out for decades yet no one besides Apple actually has the intelligence to utilize the technology and put it on laptops without screwing everything else up! Why can't Windows manufacturers do this ? There is no excuse. They're either too blinded or they don't give a crap because they don't want to push the computer industry forward and they'll continue to let Apple make billions of dollars. I don't own any Apple products but if you actually think anyone else compares to them, you're ignorant.

No it couldn't, at least without sacrificing on something like battery life, display, or thickness for example. There is a lot more about a computer than base specifications ( I'm sure you know this but I need to re-state it ) like portability, durability, and quality for example. In my eyes, there really isn't anything else to look at since everything else is made is such low standards. The displays on Macbooks are a huge selling point, more specifically since no one else can / will do it.
