It can play it but you don't need that i7, get an i5.
Also that 660 is bad value, look at an AMD 7850

Save $100 buy an i5-3570/k depending on if you want to OC, put the savings towards your GPU and get a 670/7950. If you plan to OC get an after market cooler. Depending on how much you wanna OC if you do. Get a evo 212 for a low-moderate OC. And for a high OC either get custom water cooling or a noctua nh-d14.
What kind of PSU do you have? What kind of tower?

Just a 3570k will be suitable, you don't need an OC to run BF3, therefore you should stick with the Intel cooler.
Get an AMD 7870. Why would you even recommend a GTX 670 when it is so much more expensive than the 7870 and the 7870 is perfectly capable of running Battlefield 3. Why would you buy a 7950 for about 5 fps difference? Is it really worth the extra 50 to 100 pounds?
OP,if you just want it for Battlefield 3 an OC won't be necessary, and do you already have the PSU?

Yes a 7950 is really worth it.

So yes undeniably the 7950 is better and is so worth it.
Not to mention its an FPS increase of 13-20FPS depending on the game and settings. So please don't post because you have absolutely no idea.

A extra 50 dollars for something you don't need, that makes sense.
The 7870 is perfectly capable of running BF3, could you provide links on Newegg.com to thhe 7950 in question?
Ad you could OC the 7870 for more fps.
You can get editions of the 7950 for not much more but if money is tight for you get the 7870.

And you also need to keep in mind the OP's PSU.

The i5 and 7850 will play BF3 on high around 60 FPS and the VP-450 is plenty adequate to power everything. I included a very nice IPS monitor as well.

He recommended a 7850 for this guy wanting to play BF3, and 60 FPS on high is pretty good, for a cheap price if the OP doesn't have that much leftover.
