I really doubt it will be a permenant ban , I think for most people it will either be a reset to level 1 or it will be a reset to your last actual level.

I modded my prestige on BO1 with the grenade suicide lobbies and never got reset; Hell, I have a modded prestige in every CoD since CoD4... I'm counting on not getting reset.
