I live in ireland, and I have to travel 45 minutes on a bus, full of others at my school who annoy me so much. My school is on a hill and they lock the gates at the front with barbed wire. The only out would to be jumping of the cliff at the back ( leads on to a busy road.) We all have to wear uniform and they take the register each period to make sure we aren't ditching class. If we are late for any class it gets recorded on our record. If you forget a homework you get an after school detention. At the end of the day we have to get on a bus full of idiots.
Repeat everyday for 3 more years

Habitat wrote In the UK pretty much every school has a school uniform and it really isn't that bad, it stops some forms of bullying and makes everyone equal as well as making you concentrate more but that isn't the case for everyone.
The ID cards is probably due to many people from your school just walking in and out when they want as well as many random strangers who could potentially be paedophiles or whatever, so the ID cards and fence around the school is more of for your protection so just accept it as your school is doing the right thing

Agreed, schools in the UK are alot different. They have uniforms, and some are quite strict upon having the correct uniform etc.
