Okay so when i record it looks fine. The raw file looks exceptional but as soon as i get it into Sony Vegas it gets super laggy and skips frames? How could i fix it.

Simple fix, it's clear that your computer isn't strong enough to run Sony Vegas, so when you're about to render your video, in the video preview box, there should be a option saying "Preview (Full)" put that to Preview > Draft > Quarter
And it should run smoother.
MAKE SURE YOU SET THE PREVIEW BACK TO (Best) OR YOUR VIDEO WILL BECOME PIXELATED!
Sorry about the caps, but just making sure you don't waste your time rendering the video, then having to re-rendering the video again.
Oh, and if you don't know what the preview window looks like, it should look like this. (I'm using Sony Vegas Pro 10 by the way.)
