I will only be using Facebook just to check it really, not much commenting, also I would be viewing a few Webpages, no email service. Maybe 1 or 2 YouTube videos but that is about it. Would that be enough or can anyone give tips on how to not go over 250mb?

Nope
Youtube videos are a no no on a plan that small.
trust me, an iphone on that plan will cost you a fortune in data charges when you go over

Well, with an iPhone, you would most likely use iTunes and the App Store on your phone without wi-fi connections and probably more so I would not recommend 250mb. Even for Facebook, that's still not a lot. I would recommend at least 500mb data and even then, I would still only go on Twitter with that! hah Although, if you're not on the internet for very long then 250mb should JUST do it!

That also includes downloading apps and using them as well as your internet browsing.
If you have WiFi in your home then you could get that plan just have to use very little whilst out and about.
Usually most smart phone plans have all you can eat data, that's what I get, unlimited so I don't have to worry about it.

I watch at least 3/4 youtube videos a day
Go on Facebook, twitter, Instagram and kik at least 20 times each everyday and I only use like 300Mb, so go for 500mb that'll be okay
