I'm trying to restore my ipod. My ipod shows the connect to itunes logo. But when i connect it to itunes my ipod never shows up in itunes. And iv'e tried countless times putting my ipod into dfu mode, but nothing works.

This happened to me and I had to uninstall iTunes completely and download it again.

If you ever encounter the error, where it shows a iTunes logo on your iDevice load up RedSn0w then go to Extra's then go to select ISPW, load your ISPW for your iOS Firmware then go back to Extra's and click Recovery Fix, this should get you out of it. Redsn0w will then tell you to first put your device into DFU Mode, don't worry it shows instructions how it is done.
