Nobody will/should hire you if you use Beats in your studio.
Just skip to 1:40. But let me guess, you know more then someone who is actually a famous rapper?
You really think they know the first thing about audio and that they weren't obviously sponsored by Monster/Beats Electronics? Hook, line, and sinker. Gotta hand it to that marketing team, they sure know how to dupe the masses.
I really don't care if they were sponsored. That's a studio, and they're using Beats.
There's not even anything to master, even if Beats were good for it. It's a stupid bassline and a crappy vocoded voice track with some effects.
I could pay a few rappers to use iBuds in a studio and pretend like they're making music. Would that make those good?
I don't think you could pay them enough to use iBuds. I've seen plently of artist in recording studios on youtube using beats, and I don't see them *****.
It doesn't matter what headphones I pay them to use. I could pay them to use any crap headphones like Beats and they wouldn't think twice. I can factually prove that Beats are terrible for production use.

The fact that a few rappers use them in a studio in a video commissioned by Beats means nothing.
A few rappers using them means more than some random people on TTG.

Numbers don't lie. You have no argument because you can't refute facts. These are bad headphones for production, period. It's not even up for debate because it's not a matter of opinion. Whether they're good for simple music enjoyment is another story, but cheaper headphones still run circles around them. If you'd like more evidence or testimonies from sources well-known in the headphone world, I can get them for you.[/spoil]
Do you think these rappers care about numbers? Only thing they care about is how good it sounds, aka "real world usage."
Rappers using them > Random people on TTG posting charts.
Denying facts backed up by measurements and graphs?
&@%# logic.
You lost every iota of credibility of what little you had left with that post. I guess the pros are idiots for using the Sennheiser HD800 to pick out details in their recordings. I mean, you don't see Soulja Boy rocking those, do you? Nah, they're definitely idiots.
If you're trolling, you done good. I can always pick up on headphone trolls after all my experience, but you may have gotten me.
EDIT: One thing you'll pick up on immediately in the world of consumer tech is that popularity has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the product.
You're too sensitive, calm down. No one is denying those graphs or saying people are idiots for using Sennheiser, use your reading comprehension skills and stop making assumptions.
When people go and buy headphones I seriously doubt they ask for those charts you posted. They put on each headphone and listen to a song to see which one sounds the best to them. And if beats sound good to people, guess what?
There isn't shit you can do about it.

Yeah there is. I can show them good headphones they like more for half the price.
Or I could let them make a bad decision. It's their decision and if they don't want my help, so be it. I don't care, I just like helping people. What you were/are doing is spreading misinformation, and that's not something I'm going to ignore. Call me what you will, I don't care. People choose to trust me to recommend the best headphone for them and I deliver and they're happy. I know exactly how I sound when I say this, but when people trust decisions like this to people who know their stuff, everyone's happier in the end. I'm not saying their opinions are not valid, but I take their opinions into consideration and direct them to something better based on them.

That's good for him, but I don't give a ****. The OP asked what color beats to buy, he didn't ask for anything else. If roots was buying the OP his headphones then I would understand, but it's the OPs money.

EDIT: One thing you'll pick up on immediately in the world of consumer tech is that popularity has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the product.[/spoil]
There isn't **** you can do about it.

It's the entire premise of our thread.[/spoil]
I'm spreading misinformation because I tell someone to buy beats? Lol, nice thread, but that thread won't make me think anymore highly or less then you than what I already do.
That's not the point I'm getting at. What I'm getting at is that you're saying that Beats are a good choice. That's just not true.
They are a good choice if you're coming from standard ipod headsets.
Tell me I'm wrong.
You are wrong. Of course they'll sound better but instead of the Pro you should get good headphones that are similar and in every way better. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Saying something is better than iBuds is not saying much. You can pay $7 and get much better quality. Why pay $400 for an upgrade when you can pay much less for a better upgrade?
