only reason i want to leave maker/tgs is cause i havent been happy with the way they do business as of lately. but anyway...
basically machinima's interested in me when my contract with maker ends in april. ray sent me a email asking when my contract with maker/tgs is up and wants to bring me into the network. the problem is we cant go over any contract details right now because im locked in with maker already. i dont even know how i got under machinima's radar since my channel is pretty small.
what i want to know is, does anyone know if machinima still has that lifetime contract policy that locks you in for life+perpetuity? and do they still payout based on a flat cpm rate instead of a percentage? theres gotta be some machinima partners or people that applied that know the answer to this.

As my good friend Icy-Tank said to me a couple days ago via Skype, "Machinima are taking the grabbing all channels while they can approach" - I couldn't agree more.
Due to the stupid standards, and childish CEO/Staff of all these new networks, this is the sour outcome. It's ruined for everybody, and will never pick up again. It's facts.

I would agree YouTube Networks are on the down hill in general.
Regarding to the topic though I feel like Machinima and Curse are the only two mature, professional networks left on YouTube. I would suggest looking into Curse as well if I were you. There is more info about them in this TTG Post The only thing that you may not like is that Curse is loosely related to Maker, but their contract and CPM is very good.
As far as Machinima goes I can't say much there is some info in the post I mentioned above but Machinima has many different contracts with many different people so what one person says their contract is might not necessarily be what you are offered.
