When you go over the XP cap the hosts backs out and opens tray at 100% but i always get kicked? and the hosts keeps his xp but i dont, is this patched or is he just not opening it at 100% exactly? please help!

Or is it just not working in 2v2? has anyone else been able to strafe without this prob?

Just don't go over the XP Cap, just go under it. If you go over the XP Cap, Infinity Ward will look into the situation and see that you have been doing this more than once.

But i have been able to go over the xp cap without losing it, now i cantkeep the XP
