griff321 wrote I think its pretty stupid that Americans are more upset about a possible gun banned rather than the death of these little kids now that says a lot.

That couldn't be further from the truth. It's the fact that we can't go back in time and take this back, but we still have a say-so to our future. That was a very tragic and unfortunate event, but I'm looking at today and tomorrow, not yesterday.
whatever helps you sleep at night.

Whatever helps me sleep at night? I didn't know I had any trouble besides my usual racing mind when I attempt to sleep. Everyone jumping on "making the gun laws tighter" seem to be looking at the gun ban, and not the tragedy, as well. One side is talking for it, one is talking against it. You creating a topic about it is the same as me saying how wrong the ban is. You being happy about it is the same as me being upset about it. The same amount of time is being put into looking at this gun law (no matter what side of it you're on) and the same amount of time is being taken away from the tragedy that took place. This is a Yin-Yang conversation. You and I are on opposite sides, but are taking just as much time to talk about gun laws and not about the Connecticut tragedy. It is what it is.

Gun Control would kill the problem, don't see why you are so up in arms about it. Does this horrific stuff happen in the UK since Gun Control? Nope.

Is there still gun crimes in the UK with everyday citizens? Yes there is. The problem will never go away, so don't take away the guns from those that don't cause harm with them. It's a lose-lose situation if you take them away. Law breakers will still have guns and I will be unprotected, though I am stated in the Constitution of my right to bare arms. If my government decides to imprison us all, we have zero protection. I live in one of the most corrupted countries. Yea, I'm going to have a major problem with this issue. Criminals obey "gun control" laws in the same manner politicians follow their oaths of office. My fellow southerners are going to have an even bigger problem than I have, I can guarantee you. Most people down here have guns, but events like Connecticut never take place here. They are used for protection, gun collection, and hunting. Take away guns, what do you have then? A stabbing spree in a elementary school like in that Asian country months back. Or maybe a bomb. Or maybe a gas attack. Taking away guns will do zero when it comes to our protection from one another. It will only hurt us in the situations we most need them in.

Very sad thing. Things like this shouldn't happen.

its not guns its the people we shouldnt take guns away because idiots use to kill people the kid that shot all those kids was mentally ill maybe they should put mentaly ill people in a home not trying to be mean but if they cant handle a gun safely put them in jail.. if we blame guns for murder why dont we blame cars for deaths ive had two of my family members die from cars one was only ten and did we blame cars no then why should we blame guns on murders..the murderer could have used a machete or a chainsaw..its not the guns!
