I recently had to restore to factory settings due to having a hacker control my computer and mess my stuff up. I have a lot of trouble so far and there is much more to come with this. My problem right now is that I have 2 monitors and it will not display the second one. The only thing it detects for display is 'Generic PnP Monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter,' which is my DVI to VGA monitor adapter so I can have 2 monitors. Both monitors (the one with the dvi to vga adapter and the regular vga, both monitors are XPS 400s [I think since my comp wont tell me anymore])are plugged into my graphics card which is a NVIDIA but I do not know the exact model because again, my computer no longer tells me. I was doing a lot of research to this and my problem seems a bit different than all of the others. I read that I need to update the drivers or something? Please help me, it would be much appreciated.
Additional Info About My Computer:
Another thing:
I tried updating the drivers through a DVD that came with my computer called 'Drivers and Utilities already installed on your computer' with absolutely no luck. I then tried on the Dell site with my model and downloaded the Dell Support Center application with agian no luck.
Additional Info About My Computer:
- It is a Dell Inspiron 560
6.00 GB of ram
3.2 GHZ processor
64-bit
Windows 7

the hacker probably used a r.a.t just to get that out there:)(remote access/administration trojen
try bios if you go to graphics it should say on board or external but that's for the card
when logged in right click desktop and go to resolution propertys
thoses two options worked for me but i cannot guaranty anything
