- No after-market cooling configuration rendering the unlocked CPU's main purpose useless.
- Stupidly tall RAM with heatsinks that are pointless besides aesthetics.
- Kingston SSD over more reliable and consistent Intel 330/520, Crucial M4, 840 pro, or certain Plextor drives.
- Ridiculously priced MOBO that won't get used.
- As you said yourself, overkill. It's actually less efficient. More watts =/= more better. This entire build including a video card can and should be run off of a 550w / 650w unit...something along the lines of the HIVE series from Rosewill which offer superb bang for your buck.
It's not necessarily a bad build but you could of gotten a lot more suitable parts for your dollar.
4/10.
