Hello forum, I am looking to purchase a laptop for the family. We have not had a new laptop for about 6 years. And we need a laptop that will be durable and last. I will personally use it for video editing. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If anyone could give me some feedback that would be amazing. I am looking to purchase it tonight.

Hey there Masonjb,

For the price, simply put, you couldn't go wrong with that Laptop, especially for what you're wanting to use it for.

Although, being a current MacBook Pro user, I'd always recommend splashing that extra little bit of cash if you want exactly what you listed, especially the durability part. An Apple MacBook Pro contains the specs of an UltraBook, all in one neat, solid shell/casing. It's an absolute pleasure to use, and I've never had any issues. I hated Apple before I bought a Mac, now I don't think I'd ever buy a Windows-Operated laptop again.

...The list could go on forever as to why. Although, if you want a regular, day-to-day use laptop, then the one you listed seems fine. Just be sure to keep it up-to-date, and actually purchase an anti-virus software. Torrenting/illegally downloading anti-virus software does no good whatsoever in the long run, believe me.

Good luck.
