I just recently got the beats by dre studios for 300, they are great head phones, really good at noise cancelling and they are great sound quality the only downside is the leak a little but they are really comfy; they do have the solos for 200 and I've heard that they are awesome as well

Beats are overrated and overpriced. You're basically paying for the brand.

OP it really depends on other factors, especially genres. If you're listening to something like classical or acoustic, bassy dark headphones will be horrendous. Other factors include portability/durability requirements, then there's always the people who don't want "ugly" headphones. If you add all those factors to this thread, it will be much easier to help

I've got a new pair of Dr. Dre studio beats. I think they're okay, perfect for me. It's what suits your music preference.
