I've been a bit sluggish watching lately, I find myself getting wrapped up in too much lately. I would type an essay of my favorite animes like waifu did above me, but am doing 3 last-minute projects at the moment. I just started watching this summer, so haven't gotten around to a lot of stuff that I'd like to yet.
I sent you both a friend request on MAL.
In all honesty, I had no idea there was a friends feature on MAL. Probably because I mainly use the Taiga computer app to track my eps, and not too many of my IRL friends watch anime
I use Taiga too but I also always have a MAL tab open. Pretty much none of my IRL friends watch Anime either. It sort of sucks.
I've noticed that convincing people to watch anime is quite tricky. The strange behaviors and stereotypes are just a bit tricky for some people to overlook. Especially the whole thing that we possess waifus and find 2D women incredibly adorable.
Well... That last part does apply for me, but I do hide it from friends. I showed a friend who is a casual Anime watcher Highschool DxD and he really liked it considering the huge amount of ecchi content.
I'm to the point where I don't hide it from my friends. From other non-friends, yeah of course I do. I have a couple friends watching like Angel Beats and Code Geass etc. Luckily for me, I'm on a team for developing a platformer game for the Ouya console, and my fellow workers are allowing me to make it in a bit of an anime style. Already called dibs on "Asuka" for the MC's name. Should get interesting.
You don't hide having a waifu from friends? I wish my friends would accept it, they sometimes bug me for watching Anime, but I've learned to just go along with it.
Them not caring, and them not accepting are 2 completely different things my friend. As long as I'm not watching hentai during class, they could really care less. There's nothing wrong at all with watching anime. You can just rub it in that it sells better, is received better, and certainly written better than any other terrible American TV show that they've ever watched. Not watching well written shows is their loss, not your own.
Edit: As far as waifu is concerned, its the same thing as them loving a hot celebrity. In both cases, nothing will ever come out of it. But lets face it here. Waifus are way cuter than any celebrity.

True. I watch Anime during my math class most days. Worst I watch is Sora No Otoshimono, but I sit at the back of the class with 3 friends beside me. One will always just point and be like "OH MY GOD" whenever ecchi parts come up. And yeah, my waifu is cuter than any celeb, but I wouldn't tell friends I have a waifu. A few of my friends already think I watch hentai so I just go along with it.

I've watched a couple episodes of whatever in study hall before, but that's about the extent of my school anime-viewing. The hentai stereotype to me by this point is just hilarious. My buddy even pulled up /h/ (hentai section) on 4chan during engineering one day and i was cracking up. Waifus are nothing to be ashamed of. As long as you don't go neckbeard over her, it's perfectly healthy.

I would suggest something but it seem's liek you've seen pretty much everything I have. Maybe another time I can suggest something.
>Hasn't watched AnoHana
What are you waiting for!?
I'm afraid to cry lol. Watched the first 5 mins of episode one though lol. I'll probably watch it later tonight or this weekend though.
@Kyou I think it's well worth it though. One Piece is pretty good.

That's the same reason I'm hesitant about AnoHana haha. Crying at Kanon (somehow) makes me reluctant to go into one of those shows again. I'll get around to it eventually though. As far as One Piece, I'm beyond the want to watch that many episodes. Even Fairy Tail which I really enjoy, it's still a grind to me going through so many episodes

Well OP's fillers (there are a lot) aren't as bad as Naruto's. Fairy Tail has to be one of my favorite animes right now. They developed each character instead of focusing on one which I like. I watch (well download) it every Friday.
Lately I've been watching Bleach (rewatch) and To Love Ru Darkness. I have Little Busters, K project, Btoom and a few others to watch but I'm waiting for their seasons to end so I can just watch them all.

I love when a good Anime can make me cry. AnoHana has done the best job at that. Please watch it now!
