But the same goes vice-versa with drug laws in other countries, but won't happen. In Amsterdam with MJ legalized, and doing absolutely fine. If it were to happen in America by God so many drug busts would go down, many deaths. Not to mention how safe MJ is compared to REAL drugs not to mention Tobacco and Alcohol! It's just a losing fight America will never understand.

I would like to start off by saying that I like guns. Personally, I have a nine, couple shotguns, and a grandfathered in tech. I had an AK but sold it. What I would like to say is that everyone is blowing this out of proportion. Obama will not ban ALL guns, it will never pass congress. If anything, they will only put a cap on how much ammo a magazine can carry. I believe they should fix existing laws. Example, "Gun Show Loophole"(GSL for short). GSL is legal in some states. For those who don't know, GSL lets any person buy a gun off of someone in a gun show without showing any form of ID. If you find the right dealer, you can buy 1000 AKs/AR-15s without showing ID.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people...

True, but guns make it easier to kill. Don't believe me? Look at what happened in Conn., many kids lost their lives. In the same day, some crazed guy went in to a Chinese school and stabbed 20 children. No fatalities.


Obesity and Drugs and Cars all kill more people...

Once again this might be true, BUT obesity and drugs are self inflicted. In other words, suicide. Now lets look at cars. Cars are regulated(regulation varies by state). You have to be 18, you go through a written test then a driving test which requires you to know the "rules of the road". If you're 16/17 you go through even more regulation. Guns, on the other hand, only require you to be 18 and pass a background check(for shotguns and some handguns). Sometimes take a 8 hour class and take a test, which is very simple might I add.

Our guns are here to protect us from the govs. tyrannical rule...

This excuse gets me mad(for lack of a better term), because, for the people that say that, where were you when the Patriot Act passed? Protecting your rights? Nope. When the Patriot Act was passed again after it expired? Did you do something? Nope. When the N.D.A.A was passed? Were you out there trying to stop the gov. from taking more of your rights? Nope. Im not even going to go through all the other countless laws, bills, acts that passed and slowly chipped away at our constitution until it is what it is today. Nothing but a bad joke.

2nd Amendment right...

people can still get guns if they are banned. drugs are illegal but that doesn't stop the criminals from getting them. All this will do is take the guns from the people who have the right to have guns, then all the criminals will have guns.
