I found my ipod 4 with 4.2.1 jailbroken and I tried restoring it. I kept getting a message saying "The ipod could not be restored . An unknown error occured(3194)"
I really want to restore so I can update, anything I can do?
Oh and I tried going into dfu mode and restoring and I still got that error.

3194 is generally a host file error, usually caused by programs like tiny umbrella when they set the host file to cydia instead of apple. You can either use the fix above or download/run tiny umbrella and untick the box that sets the hosts file to cydia.
