your not going to get tracked unless you hit some famous person offline or a famous site but to the op booting is old don't even try unless you want to waste alot of money because there expensive now .

Actually alot of time you are going to get tracked, i had someone booting a few of our PCs offline a while back for monetary gain on a browser game , he didnt go through a VPS or try and hide his details at all and through the account security and activity features offered by the games website i had a fair bit of information that using basic knowledge and giving the details to police they found where he had come from and he spent a nice 72hours in the cells. granted some may see it sad calling police over game money etc but i didnt get them involved because of the game, i got them involved because my little brother , fiance and other friends and family who may not be as computer literate as me use the same computers and i didnt want them to fall ploy to this person even if he had no intention of doing anything outside th related game

It rarely ever happens. I've been holding people offline since the beginning of this year and no one has "tracked" me down. I nor none of my friends or even anyone that I have ever been acquainted to has ever had a visit from the police for ddosing reasons unless I swatted them for holding me off....

chances are they don't want to waste their time doing so, I traced a dumbass texting my phone via website and thanxs to the mac address and signal cross I was able to get the dumbass's address
