Which is the way to go? I've heard the FX's are crap and that Intel are really good but I would like some people's opinions on this. I know gaming relies more on the GPU but if I buy an FX processor am I going to be bottlenecking the GPU?

I have an AMD that runs great... IMO Intels are totally overpriced

intels cost more in the long run but if you compare their products it shows why. intel usually generates a better processing power than AMD and servers better for a gamer.

Amd's aren't horrible for tight budgets, but for a similar price you could get an i3 which has similar performance, and better upgrade options in the future. If your budget allows, just grab an i3 and upgrade later when you can.
