so im looking to get a video recording or capture device for my xbox which do you recomend if its other than those two leave comment please

Black magic has a few more requirements than the pvr, but black magic records hdmi so if you choose that one just make sure you have the right specifications on your computer to run it. The HDPVR is a lot more versatile but only uses component cables.

neither get an elgato HD
