i thought i would make a sniper montage for black ops 2 so i recorded a game but when i try to open it with sony vegas pro 11 it says: "warning: an error occured when opening one or more files and the reason could not be determined."

Try opening sony vegas, then import the video files in, don't open the video files with the program.

Make sure its on the correct format. and you will need the render settings too..

try converting it to .avi or .mp4 and see if it works
