It seems that the media loves to use video games as a scapegoat for every violent crime that happens within America. This trend continues with the recent shooting at the Sandy Hook Element School, as many news outlets have chosen to point at video games as being the catalyst for this type of behavior. Early on, the media jumped to Mass Effect has being the blame for this shooting as they accused the wrong person for this shooting. Now, US Senator Joe Manchin has decided to place the blame on the popular Grand Theft Auto franchise and insists that the upcoming GTA 5 be banned, which can be seen in the slide-show above this article..
Speaking with MSNBC on Dec. 19, Senator Manchin decides to jump on the media bandwagon and uses GTA 5 as the blame for this event.

Manchin spent more of the interview putting the focus on violent video games and mental health issues.
Look at Grand Theft Auto, put out by Rockstar Games in New York City and see what it promotes, Manchin said, adding later: Shouldnt that be looked into and maybe be banned? (Via DailyKos)
This response comes as no surprise, as this trend has been appearing for some time in our media. Video games provide an easy scapegoat for these types of events and provide media outlets with a great headline to pull in viewers. Even though this trend continues, there have been no reliable scientific studies that show violent video games cause this type of behavior, but I guess our media decides to ignore this.
Keep in mind rumors are that Kids Will be in GTA V AS Trailer 2 Shows Them

They need to chill their tits, It's only a couple of people go insane and bring it out on other human beings.
The government is so biased towards over safe people, these ideas are just to get people to settle down and make them feel better.
Rant over.

if GTA was banned, it would only be banned in the US, and there would always be some country selling it, they put alot of money in this game, they will sell it somewhere, so i wouldent worry
