i am planning a new keyboard but im not sure where to start as my current keyboard and all my previous keyboards have just been standards (example: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

EDIT: the price i am looking at is roughly 100-130GBP (Raised the budget a bit cause ive done some more research)

Has to be a UK retailer like Amazon/PC world etc (preferably not Scan as they costs like 10GBP+ for delivery)

what i would prefer (in order of most preferred but not 100% necessary)

1. UK Layout [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
2. Programmable/Macro Keys
3. LED Back lit

Edit: The Main games i will be playing is:
1. League of Legends
2. Call of Duty: World at War
3. Minecraft (now and then)
4. Pacman (Because i can XD)

Complete garbage rubber dome.

OP, the Cooler Master Trigger has (I believe) everything you want and it should set you back 100 GBP. Backlighting always brings the price up a lot. What kind of switches are you looking at?

sorry i have no idea what you mean by switches and tbh honest blacklit really isnt that important to me Edit: I have just done a bit of research on the "switches" and it wont make much of a difference for me as i push my keys quite heavy any way

also what are the advantages to having a mechanical keyboard?

also its hard to find a clear picture on it and the only one i managed to find looked like us layout (@ on the 2)

does anyone currently have either the

RAZER BlackWidow Ultimate 2013 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

or

LOGITECH G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

or the

CORSAIR CH9000003UK Vengeance K90 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

if so what are your opinions on them?

The Blackwidow has MX Blue switches, which will not be ideal for gaming or talking with other people on a mic (they're loud and very clicky). I also avoid recommending Razer keyboards due to the very high number of quality control problems I see. I've seen lots of flickering LEDs and recently a bad switch, and both are inexcusible.

The G710+ appears to be way out of your budget but I'd say it's the best choice for your here. MX Brown switches are excellent for a first mechanical board and they're very hard not to like. They're good for both typing and gaming and they're not very loud. This board is top-notch and I really like it. Personally I prefer a smaller layout and design, though.

The K90 is not fully mechanical and you may not like the MX Red switches. They have a light actuation with no tactile feedback or click. Still, it's got the features you're after.
