Yes this happens if you get too greedy, or do it wrongly.
Do it properly and you won't get deranked/banned.
Don't go over 80 kills (even less is better). Don't collect too much tags. Don't go over too much score in any single game... I know you want to level up fast, but better safe than sorry. Go to HC KC (no leaderboards so less obvious). Don't have massive k/d on any gun... it's pretty obvious to spot a booster who is a bit silly.
