Do let's plays on games you enjoy, not to old though, then you wont get any views. Do them like 10 minutes long and make a couple of episodes and see if you enjoy doing it.

Yeah do what Vaas said, however watch what your game selection is. For example don't play games like Skyrim or Far Cry 3 (Sorry Vas lol) As these games are very popular on youtube, and the odds of your video being watched is very slim because of the thousands of videos of lets plays with them. Play games that may not be so popular, or games that you enjoy that you want others to hear about. This is how channels such as PewdiePie, BlueXephos(originally), and others became so popular. Be different.

Trolling is always fun to watch

Due to me not making trolling videos so have I lack of tips for you.

Tips and tricks could be like, How to level up faster on CoD etc.

As he said, don't follow the stream and post, for example, CoD videos all the time.
And as soon as a game is being released, get if if you have the money for it, and record like the whole campaign of the game, if on xbox or ps3, post tough achievement tutorials, before anyone else does it
