I need help in finding what is causing problems with my xbox.

Let's start by saying I have not messed around with anything other then hardware on this xbox. I changed the case and added LEDs. About 2 years ago I got tired of playing it and put it up and here recently I have pulled it back out. My dad stepped on it on accident and cracked the case and dented the metal case for the DVD drive luckily my buddy had a spare xbox. Same motherboard and DVD Drive as mine. I tried to put his DVD drive into mine but wouldn't work so i called Microsoft and spoke to a pretty cool guy as he said that it wouldn't work but instead just take the case off his DVD drive and and replace the broken/dented on I had. I did and everything was back to normal.

But not in the past 2 weeks my Xbox has started to act funny. I am going to list the things that are wrong now in the order they occurred.

Started saying my game that was perfectly fine was dirty and couldn't read. Didn't mind it so much as i would just open and close the disc tray a time or two then it would pick up.

Had problems with the slowness of loading the dashboard and how long it took sign in.

deleted my account off the hdd and cleared cache like Microsoft said to do speed up a little bit but not much. also had no problem recovering my account.

had the 2 red rings that had something to do with the fan so put my tailsmoon back in. 2 red rings went away.

tried deleting old game saves i Didn't use and other things on my memory and came across my custom theme and other small transfer cable mods from a long time ago. deleted them too. i also came across some corrupted files and deleted those as well.

it would load up and i would be signed into LIVE but when i would go to load Black Ops it would come to the main screen of the game and i would try and play online but it kept saying i need to be connected to Live, went back and tested the connection and everything would be connected but it would still tell me i needed to sign into LIVE when i got to where i could play.

Everytime i signed into LIVE it would have me choose an avatar again and my Gamerpic wouldn't show up for myself or anyone, so i figured my account probably Didn't load all the way when i recovered it so i deleted and and tried to recover it and now is giving me an error message saying it cant be downloaded.

It sucks because the account is fresh, not even 2 weeks old and has a brand new GOLD membership on it that i will never get back.

If anybody has any insight to these problems of what is causing it please just help the best you can.

And please don't just comment and say "that sucks" because i already figured that out...
