It depends on what you listen to. And age has a huge factor. Kids born now will like the music in 10 years. Kids born in 10years will like the music 20 years from now and so on. But I believe there are a huge selection of good artists and songs and stuff but you only like what you only like.
On a side note I really like all the ways we can listen to music. YouTube, Pandora, tunein, illegal downloads, you have many ways to listen to music

All the pop and mainstream rap is just awful. I listen to all types of artists 'old' and modern.

There are some really good artists out there today, you just need to know how to find them. 95% of music out now is terrible.

I can't stand our music that they are making these days. It is mostly about love, sex, and money. Can't they think about something else to sing about?

The radio will only play pop music from popular artists with catchy beats. The real problem with music is people don't listen to it to enjoy it, so many idiots just say they like it because they feel pressured into it. Like dubstep, if you actually like that sh*t u must be crazy.

I feel the audience is oversatured with 14 year old white kids from the suburbs who don't know shit about rap. They always say "OMG TUPAC AND BIGGIE TALKED ABOUT REAL STUFF MAN, REAL RAP, I MISS WHEN MUSIC WAS LIKE THIS." The thing these young white kids don't understand is hip hop started to help black youth back in the day escape from the struggle. Most of it was dance music and just music to make you feel good. Then in the 90s it started getting more political.
They then think that listening to old shit like Tupac and Biggie makes them gods of hiphop and rap.

The thing that makes this generations music so horrible is they get over played. For example i loved gangnam style and i would listen to it quite alot but then all of a sudden it was the only thing be played on the radio, people were singing and dancing to it at school and it got more fame then it deserved...
