If you played to much xbox you could have just did something different with your time, find a new hobby. Last year I played way too many video games so I learned how to play guitar. Quitting xbox is a little extreme, don't you think?

All you had to do was get off at a descent time. Then do homework or study.

Sorry to say but playing xbox no matter how long won't destroy your life. You managed your timing bad. Just because you play doesn't mean you have to do bad in school. Prioritize your life ahead of games and you'll do fine.

Yeah, I played xbox my senior year all the time, played basketball and baseball as well, and maintained a 3.55 GPA.

I don't think that you have to cut it out completely if you don't need to.
You could just limit yourself to a couple hours a day.

Your story is a bit similar to mine. I still have my Xbox, I just don't play as much.

Honestly, I don't care.
It's not a lifestyle it's a game.
