Cant really hide cables with a glass desk (but I tried), just got a pair of Turtle Beach XP500, but what is wrong with pre-built PCs they work just as good as ones you built yourself.

Until the power supply they cheaped out on fails and takes your other hardware with it. Prebuilts are overpriced with lower-quality parts and less selection.
A Corsair TX850 is not a crappy power supply last I checked.

I agree, it's not, but it is insanely overkill. The PSU was not specified in your post and prebuilt PCs rarely use quality PSUs. It's also safe to assume your prebuilt was overpriced.
