It has been known that if you go online on your RGH/JTAG and then go online on your retail it increases the possibility of your retail getting banned there is steps you can take to prevent this ( along the line of assigning manual ip's) but as for your ip getting banned from xbox this has only happened to select people that usually are sent C&D letters (Cease & Desist) Hope i helped out abit

Yes your retail may get banned, but the chances are 1 and 50 million. I've been online multiple times and never had a retail banned. I'm talking from personal experiences.

Screw wasting money on some server. Do recovery lobbys and xp lobbys and you will never get banned. Problem = Solved.

Your IP will NOT get banned. Not unless they keep banning consoles on the same IP many many times.
