If they are going to kill someone dont you think even though guns are banned they will still get their hands on one? They cant make guns illegal because most Americans have guns, so what are they gonna do go to every house hold break in and take the guns?ineedaxplobbymw2 wrotetbyeah wroteWho would use a plank? People can still kill people if there are guns or not.
Which is easier:
Killing a group of people with a semi automatic pistol
Or beating them to death with a plank?
Plank, pipe, stone, lamp, stick, branch, knife, cleaver, fork, spoon, spork, table leg, chair, television, radio, microwave, suitcase, briefcase, curtain rail, laptop, drawer, candlestick, wrench, drill, screwdriver, hubcap, radiator, rock, book, hammer, electric sander, vacuum cleaner, kettle, toaster, hairdryer, shower hose, rope, garden hose, spade, rake, shoe, baseball bat, cricket bat, saw, chainsaw, window pane, sledgehammer, bottle, or even someone's bare hands.
These can all be used to kill someone.
But isn't it a lot easier to take your semi auto handgun and put a bullet through a couple of heads than to attack them with one of the objects above?
Some criminals would hold onto their guns, but eventually they would be seized. If the police knew there was a gun in the household, they could do a raid the same way they do with drugs. And they would be able to get another gun because the price on the black market would rise too much for a petty criminal to obtain one.

Since you seem to know police so well, you should know a lot of cops (the crooked ones) would be in on some of the smuggling of fire arms if the ban does occur. Bribery is pretty common in the world of law and order. If guns start to get rare, the prices may rise, but so will the bribes. When that occurs, it would be irresistable to most cops and they will give in. Illegal items will always be out there if it is able to make people (specifically the police and police stations) money. Guns that are banned will always be out there in the streets, and this is one of the biggest reasons why.

The same happened during the Prohibition in the 1920's.
A lot of police, politicians and Government officials took backhanders of money and alcohol in exchange for passage across state lines and just generally overlooking of the sale of alcohol.
Anyone who says this wouldn't occur in the event of a gun ban is extremely naive.

Banning firearms wouldn't do anything other than make bad people richer. It would be a second prohibition except with firearms instead of alcohol.

Well in Scotland we use guns ie Rifles and Shotguns for hunting...and that is kinda it.
Shooting people in the head should be kept to films and Video Games.
America will always have a different view regarding guns because they have the right to bear arms for a very long time. All it takes though is some male or female to get all pissed off and go shooting everybody and this happens throughout the world. Even in Scotland some guy went and killed children in Dunblane and then all firearms were then destroyed in Scotland unless they were approved by the Government and police.
It takes a gentleman to prove he is capable of bearing arms and well an idiot will show you why people should NOT be allowed to bear arms.

If a glass is full you don't keep pouring into it do you ?..
Well hello boys and girls it's no different with guns ,America is already full to bursting with guns so why not stop filling it with new guns.
We all know there is already a huge market for pre owned guns ,The gun shows travel America following the constant demand of trade.(so you would still be able to buys guns)
I know it's not popular but it is common sense.

Point taken, but that was the 20s. Times were very different. It would happen to a degree, but then it does with all contraband items i.e. drugs. But let's say heroin was legalised. Wouldn't the deaths related to it rise? Well, it's the same with guns, but in reverse. You ban them, the number of illegal guns sinks, and (slowly at first, but quickly gaining pace) the gun crime rates go down.
