I currently have this stuff for my gaming setup:
42" LG HDTV
!5.4" Macbook Pro
250GB Xbox 360
Black Ops 2 Kilo Headset
I'm looking in to maybe an extra monitor to export my macbook pro to if i wanted too and also maybe a better desk and a better chair. If you guys have any other ideas on what more to get I will definately look in to getting it.

Well, if you want a good setup, get rid of the MacBook pro, and build a desktop, unless you're in love with it - then I've got no chance in convincing you.
Seriously though, terrible display, slow mechanical HDD - the list could go on forever!
The fact that you want to buy a monitor for it is just, well weird. You could build a computer, run OS X on it, and it'd perform miles better.
If you honestly want to keep it, I highly suggest putting an SSD in it. It'll dramatically increase performance, and the batter life (no moving parts). Which model do you have? 2010, 2011, 2009? Depending on the age, I can recommend what you do.
Well done on the xbox though
